JVC is back with its new model, the JVC GC-QX5HD which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the camera industry! It was unveiled on the North American market on the 08/1/01. The JVC GC-QX5HD was initially targeted at a retail price of 900in the US, a great deal. This nice little piece of technology measures 111 x 67 x 59 mm and has for weight 320 g. The GC-QX5HD gets a maximum resolution of 2032 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (width / height) on the JVC GC-QX5HD is 4:3, making a total of 3.1 mega pixels.

The sensor of the GC-QX5HD is a CCD which measures only 1/1.8 " using a RGB color filter. JVC implemented a digital zoom on the GC-QX5HD and also added an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the GC-QX5HD is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/750 seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function. The JVC GC-QX5HD camera has an internal storage of 16 mb extendable with SmartMedia.

The LCD screen available on the GC-QX5HD measures 2.0 ". A video out plug exists making it handy to watch pictures on your television. USB connectivity to a computer is supported. To conclude, we believe the JVC GC-QX5HD makes a great camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to buy this wonderful camera.
